Within the framework of its mission to preserve Kurdish identity and inspire Kurdish society in the diaspora, and on the occasion of the launch of Kurd Diaspora Digital Media on 26 May 2026, coinciding with the anniversary of the Gulan Revolution, the administrative board of Kurd Diaspora organized its inaugural cultural and intellectual event on 17 June 2026 at Ararat Technical Institute. The event was sponsored and hosted by Ararat Technical Institute, whose generous support and hospitality played an important role in the successful realization of this initiative.
This gathering marked the beginning of a new chapter for Kurd Diaspora Digital Media and its commitment to serving Kurdish communities worldwide. Guided by the motto, “Rooted in History, United by Identity, Shaping the Future,” Kurd Diaspora is more than a magazine. It is a comprehensive digital media platform dedicated to preserving Kurdish heritage, strengthening cultural awareness, and connecting generations through knowledge and engagement. The platform encompasses a digital magazine, social media networks, a digital library, a children’s magazine, genocide awareness and documentation resources, and a variety of educational and cultural initiatives designed to serve the Kurdish diaspora and beyond.
The program featured the following activities:
- A welcoming address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Ali Hassan, Dean of Ararat Technical Institute.
- A speech by Metin Warmeli, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Kurd Diaspora Digital Media.
- A seminar entitled “Yesterday’s Revolution, Today’s Coexistence, Tomorrow’s State-Building,” presented by Abdulaziz Muhsin Barzani.
- A seminar entitled “Social Media and the Values of Protecting the Gulan Revolution,” presented by Halkaft Abdulwahid Salih.
- A multimedia presentation introducing the various sections, objectives, and initiatives of the Kurd Diaspora Digital Media platform.
- Distribution of the book The Path of Barzani to attendees, authored by Leyla Eskander, founder and franchise owner of Kurd Diaspora Digital Media.
The event, held in the spirit of the Gulan Revolution and its enduring values, brought together writers, intellectuals, academics, students, and members of the wider community. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to preserving Kurdish identity, promoting cultural dialogue, and strengthening intellectual engagement within Kurdish society.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all those who attended and contributed to the success of this event. We are especially grateful to the writers, intellectuals, academics, and students whose presence, encouragement, and active participation enriched the gathering and demonstrated the importance of collective efforts in preserving and advancing Kurdish culture and identity.
We also express our special gratitude to the network of loyal supporters of the Barzani path for their meaningful attendance and steadfast commitment. Their presence was a source of pride and honor, reflecting the enduring values of loyalty, dedication, and national responsibility.
As Kurd Diaspora Digital Media embarks on this journey, it remains committed to making a lasting digital legacy that preserves the Kurdish story, empowers future generations, and strengthens the bonds that unite Kurdish communities worldwide.
With sincere gratitude and appreciation,
The Kurd Diaspora Digital Media Team
